Spinning®: It’s all about the bike baby! Armstrong, Lemond, Indurian and YOU. Jump on and spin those pedals like never before. RIDE AT YOUR OWN PACE! Enjoy the music, camaraderie & spandex. All ability levels participate in this outstanding class. If you are a first timer please arrive 15min early to get fit to a bike! (1 hour class)
NEW Cardio Drum: Drum/Sculpt/Stretch; This class is segmented with 35 minutes of drumming, 15-20 minutes of sculpting, and a nice stretch to round out an hour to add the fun variety you are looking for as well as delivering to the full extent of help to build cognitive skills, muscle mass, bone density, and flexibility in this fun filled hour! Please wear shoes!! 1 hour class
Mindful Movement: This class features a full body functional and dynamic stretching routine, followed by a challenging series of strength training circuits. These exercises equip you with the most important type of physical fitness; the ones that prepare you for real life daily living including but not limited to bending, twisting, lifting, loading, pushing, pulling, squatting, and breathing. 1 hourclass.
Core Barre Fusion: Providing survival skills for the real world. Improve your overall body awareness, endurance, and strength. This 1 hour class includes work for balance, strength, improved flexibility, and an overall tune-up.
Power Hour: Power Hour is a dynamic interval class blending cardio, body weight, strength exercises, and plyometrics to help achieve total body conditioning. This class is challenging, but fulfilling and will leave you ready to tackle your weekend plans. 1 hour class
Regain/Renew/Release: Improve overall flexibility and regain mobility with simple movements and stretches while enhancing your balance. Open up your body, and improve strength. Feel the benefit of a renewed body awareness, and ease of movement in every day living. Stretch, release, and relax! You deserve it! 1 hour class
Step It Up: If you always wanted to try Step Aerobics, or did it "back in the day", this class is for you! Basic moves that will leave you sweating and smiling. Class consists of Warm-Up, Step Aerobics and 10 minutes stretch with cooldown. 1 hour class
NEW (June 1st 2024) Stott Pilates Group Reformer Class: This invigorating total-body workout is a great way to start your weekend! This class is performed on the reformer and progresses from essential to intermediate/advanced levels. The pace is moderate yet challenging and will tone and stretch muscles, strengthen the core while improving balance and posture.1 hour class *Capacity is limited to four. Participants must be experienced and have received training on the reformer prior to taking the class. Class sign up will open each Monday. Participants will only be allowed to reserve one class per week. **Please note that pricing is $65/class per person and the Group Fitness class punch cards are not valid for this class.

Doug Rieck Born and raised in northern Michigan, he is a natural fitness enthusiast enjoying all of the outdoor activities that living in such an area provides such as skiing,snowboarding, kayaking and hiking.He is most partial to playing sports like volleyball, football, martial arts, with a keen interest in basketball. Doug walks into the gym every morning holding certifications from A.C.E. and I.S.S.A. for personal training and an absolute passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals!
Barb Wilson is a gentle and powerful motivator. She knows her stuff (she has been instructing for over 30 years). This grandma has power. Her experience as a cheer leading instructor (as in, taught the coaches) along with an ear for music makes her queuing flawless when leading her classes. Barb currently teaches our Spinning classes.
Shelly Ottimer has been in the fitness industry for over 4 decades now. Her dedication and upbeat personality will keep your energy up in her aerobics based classes. Shelly is teaching our Step It Up class on Tuesday mornings as well as our newest class 20/20/20. You will also find her subbing for our other instructors as needed (her talent and experience allow for instruction of many different styles).
Margaret Tvedten She operated, and taught at BODYFIRM Total Fitness for 28 years in the Harbor Springs-Petoskey area. She was voted, "Best Fitness Teacher" in Northern Michigan twice by Northern Express, a publication based out of Traverse City. She currently teaches our Core Barre Fusion and our class Regain, Renew, and Release. Core Fusion is a Barre based class that incorporates body balance and core movements to get you strong. The Regain, Renew, and Release class improves overall flexibility and regain mobility with simple movements and stretches while enhancing your balance. Open your body and improve strength.
